About Me
Currently, I am a Ph.D candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA. I also work as a Lead Engineer at Eaton Research Labs.
I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila, Pakistan respectively in 2012 and 2017. I also received
a second M.Sc. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) in 2015. I'm a recipient of 2023 CEC Dean’s PhD Scholar Award at Missouri S&T. I'm also a recipient of the Best Conference Paper Award
and the Second Prize in the graduate poster competition at the IEEE PES General Meeting, USA 2021. My current research interests are optimal siting, sizing, operation and control
of Extreme Fast Charging (XFC) Stations and Superchargers for electric vehicles.

[05-2023] Our paper titled “Multi-layered Energy Management Framework for Extreme Fast Charging Stations Considering Demand Charges, Battery Degradation, and Forecast Uncertainties” got accepted

[01-2023] My dissertation titled “Control and Optimization of Energy Storage System in Power Distribution Systems” has been selected for the final round of Grid Edge Technologies Dissertation Prize Challenge. As a finalist, I am invited to participate in the on-site 3-Minute Challenge which will take place in the IEEE PES Grid Edge Technologies Conference and Exposition on April 11 and 12, 2023 at San Diego Convention Center.
[01-2023] I joined the Battery Software Group, Lucid Motors as Sr. Algorithms Engineer, ESS at the Lucid Motors Headquarters, Newark CA, USA.
